The End

This title seem a bit dramatic, but I think it’s the accurtate to this blog. I have been horribly lazy the last couple of month now, and I kinda just want a sense of my old life back. I’m realizing that the things I wanted the most are not on my radar anymore and I find that so odd. It’s making me think of my future more. This whole pandemic it has shown me how to be more compassionate of other people, somewhat more sensitive to certain things and I’m aware of what I want, oddly enough. Last week I went to a funeral, and no it wasn’t like a regular one, it was like a spreaded out one due to this pandemic and I was in a different room. Upon the ceremony, I couldn’t help but think, wow this is how our world is like now. It really made me think different and how I want my life to be perceived a different way, in a way I could impact this world. So I guess this whole quarantine has showed me a different perceptive on how I want to live my day to day life after this. Blogging I understand is probably not for me just right now, due to my boring life right now just in my house 24/7, but perhaps in the future when I’m out again experiencing new things I could turn back to it and just kinda reflect on what is going on. Not going to lie I love this feeling of unleashing my inner thought, but honestly I have nothing to really write right now. Anyways have a great day everyone who may be reading this, I’m sorry if I bored you, I really don’t know what to even talk about. I’ve started a podcast with my friends if you want to hear to me verbally rant about crazy nonsense it’s “We Hate it Here” by Sugarpickless it’s on Spotify and Soundcloud and Youtube. Anyway it’s Kim, signing out, peace!

A Very Stuck Gabby in France

Gabby was a girl trying to figure it out, as she was just 18 years old. She decided to take a year off of school, to be a nanny in France. Time was cutting it close and Gabby often questioned herself, what will I do next. She thought that this time she would figure it out finally, as she disguised the trip to France as a year to find herself when in reality it was just a trip to try new cafes, and hit up French botiques. She loved her Aupair household but she didn’t know what she even learned besides caring for a kid. Gabby approaches the side walk as she lights up a cigarette and thinks to herself, a year all wasted, now I have nothing to go back and say what I have experienced. Sheltered at most she didn’t get a good opportunity to see what life was like with full independency. So out of touch with reality, “Tout va bien?” a women says to her while she’s on the stairway. Gabby replied, “tout,” the women looked at her and knew right away due to her young presence and looking so lost in France. “Vouloir c’est pouvoir, my mother use to alway’s tell me, things may seem rough right now but life is truly short to be worrying and disappointed when it heads nowhere, best for you to do is do what you love and keep doing it if you hit rock bottom, your dreams are a way to escape and let it your passions out” than the women walked away. Gabby thought to herself, “That was so random, but maybe the women was right, maybe it’s time to get out of France and pursue her dreams in fashion designing. That’s exactly what she done, now she’s 26 and lives in New York, and a successful fashion designer with 3 wonderful cats. That advise woke her up and made her see that life is too short to be dreading about her misfortunes when in that time wasted you could have been doing something beneficial for your future; Even if you fail and hit rock bottom, you got to keep perserving and keep a positive mindset to head in the right direction.

Time does pass by

Hello guys i hope you are swell even during this chaotic time. Me on the other hand, i’m just doing my own thing, now that everything is home based i kinda just find myself in a routine of boredom and watching a bunch of random movies…. like last night i watched I, Tonya which was an absolute gem. Today i watched Salt and right now as i’m typing i’m watching Social Network which is basically a movie about Mark Zuckerberg.

Guys that was typed 2 days ago… i suck at doing anything omllll. Which reminds be they’re another topic i wanted to talk about to you guys and that is my procrastination to do absolutely anytime… i know what you’re probably thinking “girl you have all this time in your hands to do something minus well just do it,” yes i get it but my mind doesn’t work that way for some reason. So I’ve been implementing hobbies to do like last night i received my art set from Amazon which i’m going to be making croquis and design some clothing pieces i would want to make in the future… but this is the downside i don’t know how to draw at all!!!! Not a single art skill i have… like i can’t even draw a properly straight LINE! god please help me.

Anyways enough of that… i bought “Find Me,’ which is the sequel book of “Call Me by Your Name” and i’m absolutely thrilled to read it, i really hope it’s good because i need to know what happens next… but i’m kinda down because i read somewhere it’s not going to be about Elio and Oliver that much which i wanted more action on, but that’s okay…. it’s going to mainly focus on Elio’s dad which i guess is okay. 😦 Alright guys i’m off to bake some more cookies for my grandma, y’all stay safe! TILL NEXT TIME! ❤

Impulsive Decisions :)

Last week i watched this movie called Spring Breakers and it made me think…. wow they really were living their best lives. I mean even going to jail in the process and at the end killing some gang members… how fun. Just kidding i’mt not a psychopath, but it did invoked an idea in my head that maybe… just maybe i buy myself a ticket to Rome and stay my butt there. Sike not going to Itlay because right now there a containment and no one is allowed to fly there sadly because of the corona-virus. UGHHH… anyways flights are the cheapest right now so i think i gotta partake in buy a round-way ticket to New York. Pray to god i don’t get anything when i come back. My brother and I were talking about it yesterday, sooooooo should i??? I think i should but i think that will just make my family rage that we went somewhere were the disease is manifesting quickly at. Anyways if we are being realistic ill probably just work, go to rodeo, maybe go roller skating and finish up Hunters on Amazon Prime . Anyways i hope you guys have a good break and if you can please vote for me for Homecoming queen. Thank you and have a wonderful day.

DON’T BE SHY HELP ME FIGURE OUT WHICH NEWSPAPER IDEA TO DO :,(

Well i’m kinda back! 🙂 we have this assignment for ideas for the newspaper so i was thinking of doing Fashion for obvious reasons maybe i was thinking of bringing What Not To Wear at our school, but i think that may be brutal so probably not a good idea. Also i had an idea of doing a Business piece like perhaps writing about my online shop and how i do it, also showing my thrifting journeys so other people can also do it if they want, for extra money. Going over what trends are in and out so they can acknowledge that whenever buying an item. Another option to whatever i’m writing about is maybe doing a opinion piece specifically about our school lunches and how there isn’t a bunch of vegan/vegetarian friendly foods nor restaurants next to it; but i feel like that is just very typical, i kinda want to do something different. What do you guys think? Should i do Option 1,2 or 3? I actually need y’all help so welp!!!!!! :,(

TOP 10 MOVIE LOOKS I ADORE!

Number 10 Cher, Clueless

To start off this list off! At number 10, i chosed Cher from the movie Clueless that was played by the wonderful Alicia Silverstone, the outfit that she get’s the most recognition is the yellow two piece plaid fit, but i think this outfit is the most underrated fit as it really makes a foundation for 90s style. It is simple yet so chic. The skirt gives a contemporary style as it is classic for any top. You cannot go wrong with any of these outfit pieces.

Number 9 Anne Boleyn, The Other Boleyn Girl

At number 9, we have Anne Boleyn, played by Natalie Portman in The Other Boleyn Girl. This look is absolutely astonishing! It’s lining of the corset top is beautifully done! I do applaused the designer of the dress because that is not easy to execute. The dress is a lovely shade of green as it does look like a emerald color, Natalie pulls it off so effortlessly as it looks like it was made for her. This is not easy to pull off and it was just so well presented in this film! One of my favorite looks.

Number 8 The Bride, Kill Bill

I CANNOT EVEN BELIEVE THIS IS IN MY TOP 8! Now this wasn’t easy to chose but coming at number 8 is The Bride played by Uma Thurman in Kill Bill. The yellow tracksuit is so well made and so effortlessly pulled of by Uma. This type of material on the tracksuit does not look cheap and it so hard to make a leather to look like a good quality piece. This tracksuit is remarkable and cannot be forgotten in this film as it is the centerpiece of the whole movie!

Number 7 Tony Montana, Scarface

At number 7 we have Tony Montana from Scarface, played by Al Pacino. From his head to toe this will always be Scarface signature look! His suit is a fresh and sophisticated at the same time; making this a legendary fit in cinema history. The tailoring of the blazer is completely flattering and so suited well on Al Pacino. It has a very subtle pattern as well as it is a stripes on the blazer. The collar out and coordinated pants that go along the blazer just make this whole outfit absolutely stunning!

Number 6 Elvira Hancock, Scarface

Number 6, has to to be Elvira Hancock in Scarface played by Michelle Pfeiffer, this teal blue satin gown is to die for! The elegant, sexy style is absolutely iconic! It gives a chic, runway look on Michelle as she does pull it off quite well. It’s tailored so beautifully and fits the actor so well. The  sparkly crystal detailing on the top is stunning also the backless design with a slit at the skirt makes this dress the embodiment of a divine women! Just in general this has to be one of the best dresses I’ve ever seen in a movie.

Number 5 Rachel Chu, Crazy Rich Asains

Rachel Chu from Crazy Rich Asains, played by Constance Wu is one of my favorite modern-day dresses at the moment. It is a nice shade of blue with a flowy, flourished look! It almost reminds me of a blue flower. The background of the dress also is very inspirational as the gown now in Los Angeles at the Smithsonian’s first annual celebration for May’s Asian Pacific American Heritage Month. This dress just goes to show how beautifully something can impact culture and also be so stunning on.

Number 4 Laurie, Little Women

Now where do i even get started with number 4…… i have to give it to Laurie from Little Women played by the beautiful actor Timothee Chalamet. Now, Timothee isn’t new in my blog and sure as heck not being forgotten in this list! I don’t know if this is true but i heard Timothee helped collaberate on these fit in Little Women, which i think is incredibly awesome. Timothee pulls off the flowy sleeved blouse with the tucked in vest with grey straight trousers. Just in general this look is so hard to pull off but Timothee looks like this outfit was made for him! Just shows that a man can wear anything other than a basic suit. This has to be by far my favorite fit in the movie. I just adore this look on Timothee and i think this may be the best fits a man has ever worn in cinema history.

Number 3 Bonnie, Sarah, Rochelle, Nancy, The Craft

Now i know what you’re thinking…. Kim why is this so high in your list. So lemme explain now. This fashion embodied by these lovely female actors really influenced people styles even from this day! Now this movie was almost 24 years ago and having people even inspired from these looks today is absolutely mind blowing to how a movie can impact peoples everyday’s fits. These outfits that these characters wear is so simple yet has a dark twist to them, from oversize jackets to short plaid skirts. These looks are so gothic yet so finely worn! Definitely, a foundation to edgier youthful style.

Number 2 Holly Golightly, Breakfast at Tiffany’s

Now where do i even begin………. now i’m going to make this one simple. THIS OUTFIT WAS TO ACTUALLY DIE FOR! Audrey Hepburn killed this look overall. Probably one of the most popular looks in all of cinema and i’ll agree with it! This dress is so perfectly fitted on Audrey as it suits her body so well as it gives her a hourglass look. JUST IN GENERAL THIS LOOK IS STUNNING AND WELL PULLED OFF! This is the definition to a divine queen!

Number 1 Trinity, Matrix

Coming at number 1, we have to give it to Trinity from the Matrix played by Carrie-Anne Moss. NOWWWWWW this shouldn’t be surprising because this fit back in the day in 1999 when the Matrix was first introduced seen as different. Now when i say different, it totally embrace a totally different style called Cyberpunk. I love the leathery glossy dress that is very tightly fitted on Carrie it look a total bad-ass look! She invokes a dominant, powerful queen! The oval all-black glasses just do the trick for me! LIKE HOW CAN A OUTFIT BE SO FRICKING AWESOME LOOKING! This is a well-deserved outfit and is one of the best fits made in a movie ever!

The Oscars or more like they snubbed Florence Pugh & Saoirse Ronan

Last night, was the Oscars which it should of just been called the Parasite awards. That movie won 4 Oscars! Best director, best foreign language film, best picture and best original screenplay. WOW! Very proud of Bong- Jong Ho, but this makes me incredibly sad that there was no wins for Little Women only for Best Costume Design. I would rant about Parasite, but i don’t want to get hate comments on my postings. I believe Parasite is a good foreign film, but nothing else than that. Any who i’m totally lost of words of why Florence didn’t win and Laura Dern won for the Marriage Story…. i guess it’s okay but i’m still sad. On the bright-side, at least 2 of my favorite actors went up on stage together to announce best adapted screenplay, Timothee Chalamet & Natalie Portman. I love them! I really hope that this envisions a director to cast them in a movie together. That was the best screentime in Oscars history in my opinion. Anyways, i’m still very salty Greta Gerwig no award, same as the cast of Little Women. They deserved it all… and got nothing.

Timothee and Natalie presenting award for best Adapted Screenplay

Who is she??? watch out it’s the new girl in town!

Welcome to my first ever blog! Well not really, i had one a long time ago but it was on one of those google blogs and it was a strictly Stardoll-inspired blog on different styles i made with the virtual clothes, but we don’t talk about that no more… anyways now i have confessed an embarrassing, humiliating thing about myself, let’s dive in to things, so you guys can get to know me better. My name is Kimberly but y’all can call me by Kim, i’m a shy, childish gal who loves a good trouser and fitted pair of mom jeans that fit my waist like a glove. My parent’s are divorced as i live with my Ma in the big H; she’s pretty great. I do speak to my dad but he’s kinda just there… if that makes sense as i’m not really on good term with him at the moment. opp sorry if that kinda killed the vibes so let’s go back to being completely oblivious to serious things, so I adore cats as i do own 3, named Avery, Teddy and Warrior. If i’m being completely honest, Warrior is my favorite. shhhhh… don’t tell the others. I am also a completely emotional, sensitive person as i literally listen to the “Call Me By Your Name” soundtrack on the daily basis. I love that movie so deeply, i sob when on the last bit when Timothee is crying for 6 minutes by the fireplace as he has full sorrow look in his eyes, as the credits roll out, making it the best cinematography that has been captured. Anywaysssssssssss, let’s get back to me! My hobbies will HAVE to be thrifting, trying to sew on my sewing machine as i fail miserably in straightening the thread, and of course running my business. Now it’s a bit hard running this business on Depop due to it usually being a weekend thing, due to me still in high school, sadly also having a job… i know what thinking HOW DOES SHE MANAGE IT IF SHE HAS SO MUCH ON HER PLATE. welllllll….. it’s a bit complicated but i try not stressing out about it so much and taking one step at a time. Sometimes it does become overwhelming but i keep going. Working hard while multitasking is really helping me this year as i personally feel like i’m very capable to do anything i put my mind to. Anyways enough about me….. HOW ARE YOU GUYS? i really you found at least something interesting about me, i know this is something i’m doing for school but honestly i think this will be more beneficial than writing in my journals. I feel like if i’m public to what i’m feeling maybe it can make someones’ day or feel like their not alone in this cynical world. Till next time! Bye Angels! ❤

Me and my besties as we are all in matching sets of PJs
(i’m the one on the 2nd to left smiling at the sun)

WOW! Timothee Chalamet & Saoirse Ronan do it again

Timothee Chalamet and Saoirse Ronan on the cover of Entertainment Magazine

Timothee is no stranger to showing his feminine side as he loves embracing different styles and designs to his look as it can be shown on the left side as his face is on Saorise’s shoulder. It can be shown him wearing a striped muti-colored blouse with a pair of striped trouser to go with the funky, contemporary look. He embraces a sophisticated, yet a bit of 70s-funk look. Saoirse who is on the right side of the photo, gives us a divine-powerful look as she wears fish-net legging under a oversized blouse. Stunning, with a natural pop of glam on her face. This is the new style of modern day wear! It’s a simple, yet powerful fierce look! I can already see fast-fashion brands already making these types of clothing like Zara or even H&M. Timothee and Saciorce killed this look and as they show a gender-bending impactful look.
